Full-Day Cultural Sightseeing Bus Tour of Santorini with photo-stop at Caldera and Sunset in Oia

Our tour starts at the most prominent landmark of Santorini, the archaeological site of Akrotiri. You will walk around a well-preserved prehistoric city, which was covered in volcanic ash after the tremendous volcanic eruption that hit the island, along with a Licensed English speaking guide. Entrance fee (€12/person) is not included in the price. Our next stop is at Caldera of Santorini where you’ll enjoy the amazing views of the Volcano of Santorini, Thirassia and Aspronisi islands. Then you will be transferred to Perissa Beach, the famous black sand volcanic beaches of the island, where you can relax by the sea, swim and have lunch (meal is not included). After that, we proceed to the highest place of the island, Profitis Ilias Mount, for a short photo stop (20 minutes). We’ll drive through Pyrgos village and arrive at Profitis Ilias Monastery, which is built on the summit of Profitis Ilias Mount and offers stunning panoramic views. Next, you’ll visit the Wine Museum and Winery in Kamari village which is a must, as Santorini is known for its wine varieties and boasts a long wine tradition. A tour of the winery and the museum, as well as a wine tasting of three local wines, constitutes a unique experience. Our final stop is, of course, the picturesque village of Oia the gem of Santorini. Here you’ll have time to wander around its quaint alleys and, above all, admire the well-known sunset from the northwest edge of the island ‒ a sight that millions of people wish to relish and flock to the settlement every summer for this purpose.

Recommended

We did the full day bus tour that included Perisa, the winery, sightseeing, the excavation sight and Akrotiri for pictures ending the tour with the sunset in Oia. The tour was excellent with enough time in each area, very professionally handled, our guide was very knowledgeable and also funny, making an overall memorable experience. We highly recommend it. Thank you!, A great experience!, Excellent!, Well organized!

Tour was ok

The tour provided a nice overview of the island. The wine tasting was weak. The guide left the group after the wine tasting. The bus left 15 minutes earlier than planned for our return to the hotel at the end of the tour. Luckily we waved the bus down and driver stopped. He insisted we were late and had the wrong departure time. Others on the tour confirmed we had the correct time and that they almost missed the bus too. Earlier in the day, the guide took a picture of a pretty young girl, without her knowledge, as she was walking towards the bus. We found that totally inappropriate.

Dear Georgia, thank you for your review! We are very sorry we didn’t provide the best service we could. We will check all the issues you mentioned in order to correct them in the future. As for the photo, we will ask the guide to confirm it that took the picture and we will ask to delete it. Since we set a high standard for ourselves, we will investigate your feedback further to ensure this doesn’t happen again.
