Full-Day Cultural Sightseeing Bus Tour of Santorini with photo-stop at Caldera and Sunset in Oia

Our tour starts at the most prominent landmark of Santorini, the archaeological site of Akrotiri. You will walk around a well-preserved prehistoric city, which was covered in volcanic ash after the tremendous volcanic eruption that hit the island, along with a Licensed English speaking guide. Entrance fee (€12/person) is not included in the price. Our next stop is at Caldera of Santorini where you’ll enjoy the amazing views of the Volcano of Santorini, Thirassia and Aspronisi islands. Then you will be transferred to Perissa Beach, the famous black sand volcanic beaches of the island, where you can relax by the sea, swim and have lunch (meal is not included). After that, we proceed to the highest place of the island, Profitis Ilias Mount, for a short photo stop (20 minutes). We’ll drive through Pyrgos village and arrive at Profitis Ilias Monastery, which is built on the summit of Profitis Ilias Mount and offers stunning panoramic views. Next, you’ll visit the Wine Museum and Winery in Kamari village which is a must, as Santorini is known for its wine varieties and boasts a long wine tradition. A tour of the winery and the museum, as well as a wine tasting of three local wines, constitutes a unique experience. Our final stop is, of course, the picturesque village of Oia the gem of Santorini. Here you’ll have time to wander around its quaint alleys and, above all, admire the well-known sunset from the northwest edge of the island ‒ a sight that millions of people wish to relish and flock to the settlement every summer for this purpose.

Great tour!

The tour is the perfect amount to see all the highlights of Santorini in a day! The bus was big and comfy which made the ride easy, and Yannis was great driver! We also had Katie for the tour and she did a great job explaining!

Worthless

The guided tour basically weakly drives you through small historic towns and explains its history. You will have very limited time at places you might like. They wont even guide you to the sunset point. Giving directions to the sunset point to new visitors does not help. We saw other guided tour hosts walking their tourists to the sunset point. Bus driver also refuses to start the bus and turn on the ac unless all of the passengers board. Now, how much diesel will you save in 2 mins. There were kids in the bus who were sweating but bus driver failed to consider it. I will not recommend this crap to anyone.

Thank you for your review. Every review is crucial to us so we can improve our weaknesses. We have many participants every day and I can understand from experience that every guest has his own point of view. We on the other hand try our best every day so this tour would be as perfect as possible for every single one. The history of the island is huge and it is not possible to squeeze it in few hours when in universities takes semesters to study the history of just this island. Our professional licensed guides after years of experience try to give an interesting resume of this history with the most important facts. On the description we mention free time in Oia village and the guides from the beginning of the tour mention as well that they will not accompany you in Oia because most of the people are tired after the long tour day and they want to relax, go shopping, drink coffee or have dinner with the view. This proposal, the free time in Oia was made through the years after many surveys we have received so we stopped the guide from this part of the tour. Of course and there are guided tours in Oia especially from the cruise ships which have limited time on the island sometimes they make it only to visit Oia village, the most famous place on the island. The recommendation for the sunset view is optional and the guides recommend Oia’s castle ruins because it is worldwide known. There are so many spots to see the sunset in Oia less crowed this is the reason we have so much free time there, in order to choose your spot individually. Also the tour is specific with the time schedule because there are so many places to see on the island. For the lucky people who stay on the island more than 2 days they have the opportunity to visit their favorite places again. For the rest of the people this tour is the only way to see the most part of the island in one day. On behalf of the driver we apologize. Our policy is not to save fuel in any of our products and for this reason we gave notice at the driver for all the inconvenience he caused. Thank you once again for your comment and we remain always at your disposal.
