Santorini Highlights Private Bus Tour

A private bus tour is a special way of exploring Santorini both as a solo traveler and when traveling with family or friends. It offers the perfect combination of sightseeing and learning about the beautiful island from highly knowledgeable and experienced tour guides.

On this private tour, you’ll be picked up from the airport, port, or your hotel and escorted to the most popular attractions in Santorini Island by a luxury minivan or minibus. On this five-hour tour, a personal driver or local guide will accompany you as a guide.

Your guide will await you in Santorini for starting your private sightseeing tour. They will discuss the whole itinerary with you. You may request a change in the schedule if need be. Typically, your guide will suggest you explore Prophet Elias Mountain first, which is the highest point of the island. There, you will learn the history and interesting facts about Prophet Elias Monastery along with enjoying scenic views of the island from the top.

The next destination will be the Akrotiri Excavations where you will witness a well-preserved prehistoric settlement in the Aegean. If you’re a history lover or just someone who admires ancient structures and monuments, you’ll have a great time here. Not far away from there lies the Red Beach. You will be allowed to take as many pictures of the scenery or yourself as you want.

This will be followed by a rather short stop at Perivolos Beach where you can simply unwind and relax on the black sand by the serene waters. The local guide will then drive you to Oia while stopping at one of the famous wineries of Santorini along the way. You can taste and savor the flavor of the local products, including Visanto wine. From there, you will be taken to the Blue Dome Church in Firostefani, which offers breathtaking views of the volcano.

Finally, you will arrive at the northern side of Oia where you can enjoy a wholesome lunch while taking in the exquisite beauty of the island. You can also shop around for some local souvenirs to gift to your loved ones back home or decorate in your room as a keepsake. This will mark the end of your private tour. From there, you will be transferred back to your hotel, port, or airport for your departure.

Santorini Sightseeing

Amazing tour! Felt like I was able to get a good sense of Santorini on our short stay. Our guide, Christina was wonderful and gave us great infos on histories about Santorini and since we had some extra time, she brought us to hidden place to capture breathing views. Our driver, Marko was an exceptional driver on the cliffs. Can’t believe how coach buses can maneuver on these small two way lanes. Overall, great tour and would highly recommend.

Fun day!

Christina did a great job as a tour guide. We loved the trip and learned a lot about Santorini. We prefer the history and learning about the locals instead of just sightseeing in the tourist locations. We found the cruise excellent and saw things and places we would have otherwise missed.
