Hop on board this Lagoon 450 catamaran and get ready for a premium semi-private, 5-hour excursion around Santorini (14 people max). There are two tours available: morning tour and sunset tour. Either way passengers will tour the island’s most breathtaking beaches and attractions and lay eyes on ravishing landscapes. Pick up and drop off service is included in the price. Travellers can also find snorkeling equipment, an informative map, jackets, towels and free Wi-Fi available on board.
The morning tour sets sail from the port of Ammoudi, below Oia village at 09:45. The catamaran sails towards the famous volcano for a healing mud bath in its hot springs, offering stunning caldera views. Then it sails past the small, nearby Aspronisi Island and the prominent Akrotiri village. There passengers have the chance to admire the ancient lighthouse as well as a unique feature of the caldera cliffs, a rock formation called Indian Rock as it looks like an Indian’s profile.
Next stop is at the charming White Beach for swimming and a savory barbeque onboard with the finest local products that will definitely top off the whole experience. The Greek menu offers Greek salad, shrimp saganaki, grilled chicken and pork skewers, pasta with red sauce, stuffed vine leaves and roasted vegetables (vegetarian meal also available). The meal is accompanied by white Santorinian wine, beer and soft drinks. The final stop is at Red Beach for swimming and snorkeling in dark-blue, crystal-clear waters in front of a jaw-dropping landscape. The tour ends at Vlychada port.
The sunset tour starts from Vlychada port at 14:30-14:45, follows the exact opposite itinerary (first stop is at Red Beach, second stop is at White Beach for barbeque, third stop is at the volcano’s hot springs) and ends at Ammoudi port. It has got one great asset though, one last stop. Those who join the sunset tour can watch the impressive sunset below the picturesque village of Oia, the best spot on the whole island to take in this splendid sight.
We did the 5 hr day cruise to allow us time to be in Oia for dinner and the sunset. The pick up was timely and a comfortable ride to the port. Check in formalities were quick and we were on our catamaran with 10 other travellers from across the globe that made conversations fun and exciting. The crew was exceptional- Alex the captain and Yahnis and Katerina the crew who took care of details such as a steady supply of drinks and a fabulous cooked meal on deck- pasta, salad, shrimp in tomato sauce/feta and then pork or chicken bbq. The cruise and the viewing was spectacular and we got to see the entire island and the beaches. We had 3 spots to swim/snorkel and adequate time and equipment/towels available. Lots of place on the deck to be able to sit out in the sun or come back to relax in shade.
We had a fantastic day on the catamaran cruise! The staff was excellent Very attentive The food was delicious The sunset was magnificent Highly recommend
Family of five including three kids. A wonderful family day. We swam three times. The crew did a good job of feeding us, bringing us drinks when we asked and mooring in good sheltered spots. The boat was a well-maintained Lagoon 450. Areas for improvement: the staff need training in being good hosts. None of them introduced themselves or had name badges, guests on “luxury” trips expect this. The dock manager while busy, was quite surly. A simple greeting and smile goes a long way in a service environment. After being delivered to the dock by mini-bus, the guests had to wait approx half an hour in direct midday sunlight on a peak summer day. You need to get temporary or permanent shade for your guests.

Absolutely! Greece is one of the safest countries to swim in. You will be glad to know that sharks in the Aegean Sea (usually from species such as dogfish) are harmless, sightings are extremely rare while attacks are unheard of! In addition, the waves are usually small, especially inside the Caldera where most boat cruises make stops for swimming. So, based on the above, if you enjoy swimming, snorkeling, or even diving... you are in the right place!
