Sophia Oia View
About
Just 50 meters from the main pedestrian street and in front of the twin blue dome churches, Sophia Oia View is a centrally located hotel on the Caldera Cliffs in Oia. It offers suites and rooms decorated in a cave-like style with private terraces and plunge pools either inside or outside.
The rooms and suites are air-conditioned, minimally decorated in white tones, and have private bathrooms. Featured is a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. They all take in the view of the Caldera.
The lodging is close to several different cafes, restaurants, and gift shops. Moreover, the closest public parking space is at the Oia post office, which is about 46 meters away from the property.

The beauty of Oia is matchless. It is undoubtedly the best place to watch the sunset in Santorini. You can never get tired of watching Palaia and Nea Kameni islets glistening in the clear blue waters as the sun dips into the Aegean Sea. Oia also has the famous Ammoudi port, where you can enjoy freshly cooked seafood.
Restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and wine houses serving delicious food and beverages are scattered throughout the village. There are also plenty of shops to buy stylish clothes, authentic artifacts, and souvenirs from.
There is nothing better than staying among the whitewashed houses in one of the most famous villages of Santorini and overlooking the majestic water-filled Caldera with your friends and loved ones.

The only issue we had was at check in when we got in late and waited for an hour trying to contact the Rep to walk us to our villa as it was locked. It was late at night and we were about to book another hotel before he finally called and said he had no reception even though he was expecting us. The room and view was great. And housekeeping came every day to clean for us. Make sure to lock the gates at the top cause people will try to come in and take photos!
Liked · The view was uncomparable to any other place, very beautiful indeed. I love the "little" private space you have when you take pictures with the three blue domes in the background. Santorini is a very busy place. Tons of tourists. So when you look up from the terrace, you would see clumps of people all tryna take pictures of the same thing. But staying in this hotel gave us the power to just have a little private space of ourselves, taking beautiful pictures and without bumping into anyone. Disliked · 1) I arranged a semi private transfer from the Port (provided by Sophia Oia). We waited 30 mins and our driver never came. So we just arranged another transfer from another company, it was a waste of time. They couldn't deliver their transfer services. 2) Breakfast was meh. I ordered breakfast thinking it would come arranged on a beautiful tray just like the ones you see on every other hotels. But I got my breakfast delivered in a bunch of to-go boxes. The staff was wonderful though, it's just not what I had expected for such an expensive hotel. I didn't like how for the price paid, breakfast is not even included. And as exciting as we were we still ordered breakfast and paid extra. But boy their breakfast was so boring, it could've been so much better. I understand that food would come from another location but as simple as arranging them before giving it out to the customers would go a long way. 3) Rooms aren't the cleanest too. There were molds in the bathroom and some of the walls were chipped. Although it doesn't matter for the stay, but it has a huge impact being that this is such an expensive booking. For the price, you would expect the best and the cleanest. 4) On the last night of our stay, the wifi died on us. There were so many things that went wrong during our stay. View was unbeatable, but I probably wouldn't go back here.
WORTH EVERY PENNY!! we stayed at this hotel in their villa with cave pool and caldera view and it was my fav hotel from the beautiful villa to amazing customer service. can't wait to come back and stay at this hotel again.
Such an underated hidden gem of a hotel in Oia. We stayed in the luxury plunge pool suite, which has a caldera view and view of the 3 blue domes. Best view in all of Oia. Make sure to wake up early to watch the sunrise!
