Villages

The accommodation options in Santorini are plentiful and they can satisfy every preference and budget. Visitors can stay more or less at every village and enjoy their ideal vacation. But what about those who seek an alternative experience and the lovers of nature? Fortunately, there are two lovely campsites available, in two of the most beautiful and most visited villages of the island; the well-known seaside village of Perissa and the cosmopolitan capital of Santorini, Fira. In addition, they most assuredly provide an inexpensive stay in comparison to villas, hotels, studios and rooms to let and they are suitable for everybody.

The “Santorini Camping” in Fira is very close to the central square of the capital where all the shops, cafes, restaurants, nightlife, banks and more amenities are within walking distance. From here visitors have the chance to experience the pulse of the lively capital, relish magnificent views on the caldera and the volcano and have access to the beaches and the rest of the settlements with the regular bus routes. Travellers can bring their own tent and sleeping bags or, of course, rent them. What’s more, the campsite provides tents with beds, bungalows and a youth hostel for a more convenient stay. The great asset of the campsite is the big swimming pool it owns which overlooks the vast Aegean Sea. As for other amenities, there is a bar by the pool, a self-service restaurant, a shared kitchen, a parking area, a volleyball court, a basketball court and more. All in all, it is a fully-equipped campsite in a great location.

The campsite in Perissa is next to one of the most famous beaches in Santorini, Perissa Beach, with the typical black lava sand and a large number of facilities. The campsite provides the desirable shade and visitors can rent a bed tent or a simple tent in case they don’t own one. There are safe lockers, a mini market, a beach bar and a tavern in order to please customers’ needs. Besides the campsite amenities, the surrounding area has got various shops, beach bars, restaurants and water sports facilities that create a vivid beach life. Perissa village is a must destination, especially for summer holidays, as it is a busy coastal settlement with an awarded, extraordinary, long beach and more attractions that captivate tourists. Having the famed Perissa Beach close by and the opportunity to enjoy pleasant strolls on the long promenade make the stay worthwhile.
