Are you a wine fanatic and a countryside enthusiast? It’s your chance to meet the "real" Santorini and its finest wines, on this Private Bus Tour to two of the most picturesque villages on the island!

Enjoy the Santorinian authenticity with a visit to two traditional villages, immerse yourself in the local culture, and spend 4 hours in comfort and luxury with your own Private minivan.

Your experience will start from the graphic village of Pyrgos (starting time at 10:00 am or 15:30), on the west coast of Santorini, one of the oldest settlements on the island, as it was built in the 15th century by the Venetians who arrived in Santorini. It is also the highest village on the island, and holds one of the biggest castles with a great view over the Aegean Sea and the other beautiful villages. Hike uphill through the narrow streets and meet the friendly locals in their small shops and cafes, take amazing photos of the white-washed houses, and admire the classic beauty of the old churches until you reach the Venetian Kasteli, where the view is indescribable!

Next, you will head out for the traditional Megalochori village! The warm atmosphere created by the lively residents, along with the peacefulness that the beautiful background creates, will make you feel at home! Traditional taverns scattered in the squares, impressive churches and chapels with big belfries, and small old cave houses that were carefully restored, give a sense of old-fashioned and transmit you to the distant past! Megalochori is also renowned for its many vineyards and wineries, so a visit to one of the finest ones will be the highlight of the tour! Sip the famous Santorini wines, and taste traditional Greek local dishes, while absorbing historical facts and information about the process of producing the wines from an expert sommelier! A wine-tasting experience that will get you acquainted with Santorini’s history of winemaking and the finest flavors! You will absolutely enjoy it!

It's time to meet the hidden gems of Santorini and the authentic life of the locals, while exploring new flavors, on a touring experience that will fascinate you!

We had a wonderful experience. Our guide Lefty was very friendly and knowledgeable, the wine was fantastic, the bites that came with the wines were sensational. We would highly recommend this wine tour.

Interesting mix of history and wine

I had not fully appreciated the degree of history this tour would encompass. Perhaps I had not looked beyond the word ‘winery’ that turned out to be an excellent lunch stop at the Vassaltis Vineyard with the very knowledgable and personable Maria. I had not appreciated that this tour would include a visit to Santorini’s very own Pompeii and the on going excavations of what was a Bronze Age sophisticated town. There were additional stops at the coast and to see existing hill top towns and settlements. Some walking is required so sensible shoes are a must - along with a good sense of humour. Our driver and guide Zac provided much warmth, wit and local knowledge. He was also a safe and considerate driver. Definitely a highly recommended day trip. , A great experience!, Well organized!, Our guide was awesome!
