A cruise with the motor yacht “Oniro” (Greek for dream) is going to make your dreams come true and fulfill your needs on the island of Santorini. As you cruise the Aegean Sea you will lay eyes on spectacular landscapes and the jaw-dropping caldera, enjoy magnificent vistas of Santorini and its volcano and have the chance to admire its attractions as well as have a swim in crystal-clear waters.

Of course, the cruise itself highlights the whole experience as you can explore Santorini in luxury and great comfort and relax on the deck or in the lounge while sunbathing, having a drink or savoring a gourmet meal. It is actually the first semi-private cruise in Santorini that offers a gourmet five-course meal created by the renowned Sea Side Restaurant. All meals are entirely prepared on board using the finest and the freshest ingredients available that day.

You can choose between the Daytime Lunch Cruise that departs from Vlychada port at 10:00 and finishes at around 15:00 and the Sunset Dinner Cruise that starts from Vlychada port at 15:30 and ends after sunset. The Sunset Cruise’s asset is that it gives you the opportunity to see the sought-after sunset of Santorini in the best possible way.

All cruises sail past the wondrous Red Beach and White Beach, the beautiful lighthouse of Akrotiri and Indian Head Rock which is an admirable natural feature of the caldera. Then the yacht sails between Palaia Kammeni and Nea Kammeni, the two residual volcanic islands, where you will swim in the volcano’s therapeutic hot springs that constitutes a unique experience. The other stop for swimming is at Mesa Pigadia Beach, a lovely small cove that owns impressive volcanic cliffs, where you can also try snorkeling.

Based on the day’s sea conditions, your captain will anchor at the most ideal place for you to enjoy your gourmet lunch or dinner. The price is all-inclusive and includes transportation from and to your hotel, the gourmet five-course meal, unlimited wine, beer, soft drinks, water, coffee and tea and the use of towels, snorkeling equipment and Wi-Fi. To ensure your comfort and safety, the number of guests is limited to 10 per cruise.

Menu
We serve five gourmet dishes that are prepared and cooked on board. Passengers can choose between fish or meat for the main course, or a vegetarian one.

Best Sunset Cruise on Santorini

This was the highlight of our visit to Santorini. We chose the Blue Cruisers sunset cruise because of the fabulous dinner menu and the limited number of guests. The other cruises were mainly Catamarans with 30-40 guests, serving pre-made BBQ chicken. We were picked up close to our hotel and joined by one other couple so it felt like a private cruise. The crew (Spyros, Eve and the Captain) helped us on board and explained the safety measures, then we were off on the water. As we took off a plate of fresh fruits and other snacks appeared and drinks were poured. The food and drink continued at leisurely pace throughout the cruise. Even though it was very windy and the water was choppy our Captain kept the yacht steady. It was due to his skill that no one felt any ill effects from the rough sea. Due to high winds, we were not able to swim in the volcano, but the captain found a couple nice coves, protected from the wind, that were safe to swim in. The emphasis on safety was very much appreciated as other cruises were allowing their guests to swim in questionable situations. After swimming, we enjoyed an incredible 5 course dinner on par with the best restaurants in Santorini. Then the captain moved the yacht to an area where we could enjoy the sun setting over the water. We highly recommend the Blue Cruisers if you are looking for an extraordinary dining and seafaring experience of a lifetime. , A great experience!

Neither luxury, nor gourmet

I have to say my boyfriend and I were very excited about this experience and we ended up very very disappointed. From the beginning it went wrong. The person who came to pick us up was late (I can understand this and he had emailed us to warn us) and not very nice. He just said the name of our hotel and with an angry attitude he let us get in the car, no "good morning", no "how are you", he didn't check our names, he didn't introduce himself, nothing. In the car there were 3 girls who would be in the same boat with us. When we got on the boat, there were 3-4 staff waiting for us, not sure how many because only one amongst them talked to us during the whole trip. They didn't introduce themselves, they didn't show us the boat, they didn't explain anything. The only boy who addressed us tried to be helpful and asked all the time if we needed a drink. The yacht was far from being luxury, it was old, in a bad state and even dirty (toilet needs a serious clean). I guess it was a nice boat 30 years ago but it really needs a refresh. As we got sea-sick we only drank water but I guessed you could drink wine, beer,... and it was all included. Then the food came... well, it was a 5 course lunch, and it wasn't bad... but it was far from being gourmet. As an example, dessert was a simple greek yogurt with honey... The only good thing about the trip is that you are with a small group of people, we were only 5. However this is tricky as in our case there were 3 young girls looking for a party and us, a couple looking for calm. I guess it could be good if you are a big group of friends and you don't have to share with others. To finish I would say they just need to remove luxury and gourmet from the title to be more realistic about what they offer.
